Funny shot of Sam and Adrienne at Katy's going away party.

Love the way the light caught the contours of her face here. There's almost yin-yang balance in the composition of this. It's our favorite picture of us.

For a few seconds it was like someone had set a line of brushfires at about 500 feet.

2.21
Seen outside the glass hallway at work. Turns out some guys on my team there have been tracking it for days. Its tracks reveal that it later pulled a rockford and headed north, presumably in search of food.

Taken one day last summer. I liked how her leg completed the spiral on the wall, increasing the sense of their harmony amid the chaotic room.

Looking down onto the front porch roof and driveway after a whiteout a couple years ago. Same day as this.

2.15
The milky blue of the water came out looking almost as if it has been painted onto a black and white print.

Another shot from the below-zero protest. More of these are in Pulse of Minneapolis here and here.

We are where we are now because we are allowing ourselves to be led by ruthless oil and arms millionaires. What did we think was going to happen? If we don't stop electing men with agressive corporate military agendas we will eventually be held responsible for their crimes by the rest of the world.

By "held responsible" I mean nuked.

The light at the far end of the Sky Bridge had a fascinating quality that cast our ghosts onto the wall. Huge props to Alan for suggesting that location and time of day.

One of the shots from Thursday night. Big thanks go out to Anna, for letting me use her car to get there. Mine was in the shop recovering from the brutal cold.

The fogged lens was happily accidental. I had just come in from the cold. Stephen really enjoyed having his picture taken. He has no concept of technology. To him, a digital camera is powered completely by magic. It took him a second or two to recognize himself in the image, but once he did he understood what a camera is for and became intensely fascinated. Stared at it for a least a minute. Planted a seed there, I think maybe.

Fittingly, this photo is the site's 911th. Also, the original was 2001 pixels wide after the crop, completing the date coincidence. I know that's not significant, it just made me smile as I was saving out the image.

When asked by the cameras what Nixon should do to end the Vietnam War, John Lennon responded "He should declare peace," as if answering a child's obvious question.

I normally don't mention the ten photo links down the right side of the page, but wow! Check out a shot of a comet taken by its discoverer. This guy Robert McNaught spots a new comet, chases it to the southern hemishpere and makes an amazing portrait of it heading off into space, bearing his name into history.

Our children are now being sent to die just to buy the President's men some time to craft a face-saving exit from such horrific negligence. Serious businessman. Cold as Tony Soprano, and brutal as all get-out.
